Lost Angel

The Lost Angel Bar and Restaurant is right in the heart of Melbourne CBD. You can find it down on 285 Spring Street just to the south of Carlton Gardens. It's the perfect place to fill up after a day exploring the Royal Exhibition Building and the Melbourne Museum. This bar and restaurant is all about Thai cuisine and the food is authentic. It will scratch your itch for those vibrant flavours until you can visit Thailand again. The menu includes basil beef, crispy pork belly in Thai red curry, pad Thai noodles, crispy chicken and cashew nut with rice, beef salad, prawn and lemongrass salad, spicy Tom Yum soup with prawns and lamb massaman curry. The menu features plenty of great small bites, as well. You can pop on into the Lost Angel Bar and Restaurant for a cold drink and a little snack. You can choose from crispy chicken skin, fried beef jerky, crab cakes and bread with curry sauce. It is the perfect salty complement for a cold beer. Bangkok is known as the City of Angels and the founders of Lost Angels have come to Melbourne from Bangkok. The name refers to the physical separation from their roots. But the founders have brought with them an intimate knowledge of authentic Thai cuisine that they have fused with Melbourne's diverse and vibrant food culture. The interior is beautifully decorated with bursts of colour that catches the eye in a dimly lit venue. It is perfect for impressing a date.
