The Stables Bar oozes atmosphere. The venue dates back to 1894 when it was Perth's first horse stables. Now it has been converted into one of Perth's most flavourful venues. It was established back in 2013. You'll find the Stables Bar in the heart of Perth's CBD near Elizabeth Quay and The Bell Tower. The first thing that hits you is that the venue is really a horse stable. You can still see the stalls where they kept the horses. But the renovation has been beautifully done. The stalls feel cosy and give the place a unique atmosphere. The bar offers up four different types of menus. There is the all-day grazing menu, the dining room menu, the feed me menu and the set menu. There is also a beverage menu if you're thirsty for a cocktail. The all-day grazing menu focuses on snacks that you can munch on while you drink. It includes a toasted baguette with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic, spiced bar nuts, South Australian marinated olives and chips with aïoli. The feed me menu changes quite often and includes plenty of courses. Sample offerings include pan fried chilli squid, rum soaked duck ham and lamb rump. The dining room menu is rather elevated with mains that include Buffalo ricotta, paprika spiced pork belly and king salmon. And, of course, the set menu is set aside for large groups.
