Cookie is a hip beer hall right in the middle of Melbourne's CBD. You can find it right in the middle of Swanson Street in between Lonsdale Street and Little Bourke Street. It is open from midday to 3 AM every day of the week. This funky restaurant is a large open space with plenty of wall art. The beer hall has a rock 'n roll feel. There is a large mural that features the restaurant logo, a wall of bookshelves and plenty of rock albums posted to the walls. It is a hip place to grab a bite to eat while enjoying some craft beer with friends. The menu is pretty extensive but they keep it pretty simple. It is split up into three sections -- small plates, medium plates and large plates. You will find some really interesting items on the menu including shrimp rice croquettes with pickled cucumber, ginger and crispy fish. You can also find things like tapioca dumplings with pickled turnip, bamboo shrimp dumplings with pickled chilli soy and chicken fritters with cucumber and chilli on the menu. This place is definitely for the adventurous. There is also a bar in Cookie. It features a bar menu to help you complement the flavours of your drinks and craft beers. The bar menu contains equally interesting menu options like betel leaves with smoked trout, taro dumplings with chilli soy and peppered pork sticks.
