The Wolf and I is a nice little spot at the end of Chapel Street in Windsor, Victoria. This is the kind of place where you can come to grab a cold beer and have a graze while leaving the Chapel Street crowd behind without actually leaving the strip. It has a great selection of tap beers and a Scandinavian influenced menu. The bar has a sophisticated feel with exposed brick and hardwoods. There are plenty of leather chairs and communal tables so it's easy to make new friends. The beers on tap and the specials of the day can be found written on chalkboards throughout the venue. And there is plenty of amazing modern art painted directly on the walls. The menu features heaps of shared plates making The Wolf and I a great place to bring beer loving friends. The menu starts out with a large selection of tacos where you can choose from pulled pork, battered fish, Cajun beans or grilled Cajun chicken. Other shared plates include chicken ribs, chilli and salt squid, pork crackle sticks and Panzanella salad. The mains feature steaks, burgers and classics which include crab spaghetti, fish and chips, braised beef cheek and chicken Parmesan. There are also plenty of large salads to choose from if you're looking for something lighter. The plates come out presented beautifully and the venue keeps a romantic feel. The Wolf and I is an ideal place to take a date to escape the busy Church Street crowd.
