The Springs Tavern is a modern pub at 131 Bridgeman Street in Beechboro, Western Australia. You'll find it just south of the Caversham Wildlife Park off Beechboro Road. It's the perfect place to take the entire family after exploring the wildlife park. And you can bring the entire family down for a meal without breaking the bank. The kitchen opens at 11 AM and closes at 9 PM every day. And it offers up a versatile menu. You can order off the Small Bites & Starters section at the bar to complement your ice cold beer, or you can order something more substantial for a full meal. There are plenty of sandwiches and salads to choose from at the Springs Tavern. The highlight has to be the pulled beef salad which is braised in soy and served over a brown rice salad of roast onion, edamame beans, roasted capsicum, salad leaves and Oriental dressing. It's finished with house-made kimchi, sesame seeds and crispy shallots. And there are some interesting Mains, as well. You can order up the Springs Ocean Platter which gets you Greek style braised octopus with leek, banana prawns, tempura softshell crab and beer battered hoki goujons. It's served with chips, a fresh side salad, lemon and cocktail sauce for only $38. And this tavern has a working relationship with Mandoon Estate Winery. It's Western Australia's newest winery located in the heart of the Swan Valley. These hard-to-find wines come from low yielding single vineyards. Head on down to the Springs Tavern to taste these varietals for their regional characteristics.
